Re: THC disable when crossing over existing kerf?
Came back to this to ask the same question, "re-discovered" action points again...need to give those a shot!

Re: Small shapes and Circles question to clarify something?
It's my understanding that it's cut distance, ie, perimeter length.

Re: Changing the tool description
It has to do with the "automatically name tool" checkbox (or whatever it's called). Uncheck that, re-load your toolsets, and I think they'll be back to "normal".

Re: Starts points placements
Sheetcam often seems to choose, IMO, the worse place to start. In the middle of corners vs an open area, etc. For one-off items, you just have to adjust the start points prior to saving the job and cutting. For repeat items, I set everything up how I want it, and save it as a part. Then, when I need...

Any way to "lock out" the error display window?
Les, is there a way to 'lock down' the error display window in Scam? This one: sc error.JPG When I have multiple layers/parts, I'll invariably run across this while moving the mouse across the screen (from the part to the toolset, changing an option, etc). When the window "pops up" from th...

Re: Problems with Linux command CNC after switching to new computer
The NAME of the cut rules may be the same, but the CODE in the cut rules can be different between Windows/Mach and Linux. I went from Mach to CommandCNC as well. Initially, I didn't use any rules at all, but I've slowly started adding them back in. Torch off before end, slowdowns at sharp corners, e...

Re: CommandCNC1.1
New post is 26. I believe it's included with the download files, but you have to select it as the new post in sheetcam.
ETA: Yup, 26.

Re: Job summary difference, Windows vs Linux
Gotcha. What are the (realistic) risks of just jumping into using Dev now, vs stable?

Job summary difference, Windows vs Linux
I've been running Sheetcam on my plasma table for about 3 years now. I'd largely given up on the Job Report summary, as it was very inaccurate in the past when I used it (Windows). I'd never used the summary on the Linux box, since I'd lost faith in it with the Windows version. However, the other da...

Re: Drawing import tab guidelines
From what I've been able to tell, it has to do with how close nodes are in the drawing. When I have a Corel drawing with a couple of very close nodes, I get this issue. I've been trying to remove "very close" nodes in my drawings in Corel, and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Re: Cannot Drill Simple Holes... What Is Wrong?
Play with your arc/circle recognition limits in the Drawing Import tab. I forget which selection it's under, in the "Options" menu drop down. Your drawing program my be exporting as lots of small, straight lines (instead of arcs), which could be throwing sheetcam for a loop. If that's the ...

Re: Anything Better Than CorelDraw For Vector Graphics?
If you're using Sheetcam and Corel, try outputting in SVG vs DXF. That made a world of difference to me. I output in SVG exclusively. Also are these files you created from scratch? Corel has a bad habit of creating duplicate lines on auto-traced files, or even some imported files (from other program...

Re: Why doesn't SC recognize my holes sometimes?
When I had a similar issue, it was due to my arc / circle recognition limits, under the drawing import tab in one of the settings menus. That can be the band-aid fix to a drawing program that exports circles as many straight lines, vs actual arcs.

Re: Making use of usable material after plasma cutting
Yup, what SeanP said. Save job file, which should match sheet remnant. Open job file at a later date, add parts to fill cuttable area, re-save job file, index old remnant sheet, and cut again. Repeat until you've used all the old sheet.

Re: True shape nesting
But that gets back to what Les said about sales volume, based on the lack of interest in Mynesting. I don't think it would just be an "additional charge". My guess is the price could be multiples of what Sheetcam costs, if the nesting capabilities are worth anything. Mynesting is supposed...
