Re: Shape Library
Working well now Les thanks, it's a handy way to cut out rectangular leftovers from a sheet as well.

Re: Print display feature
1) it just prints a wireframe display of the material and the toolpath. I would like to print the display exactly as is but maybe inverted colors to save some ink. like white background, light gray machine, red material, green toolpaths. I was able to print a wireframe as you mention David, but now...

Re: Going nuts over "Open paths" that are not actually open...
This dxf is just a spline drawn in soldworks, I don't have any problems with that error in sheetcam.
maybe upload the sw part file to look at?

Re: How to count all parts?
Also a really usefull feature in dev version is info in status bar, in 'view toolpaths' mode and selecting the part it will show total parts for job, parts and duplicates. Then if you select the operation for that part it shows cut length & how many pierces. Using nesting mode and selecting oper...

Re: What bugs you the most in SheetCam?
One thing while I remember, the new rotating part with mouse is a real timesaver, only problem I find is when in nesting mode and you press scroll wheel to move sheet around it's quite easy to accidentally rotate a part and not notice, could do with disabling that and just use the shift/scroll wheel...

Re: Shape Library
Just been using it again now and it seems to be working fine, maybe after pc restart helped, also I found if you use 'start a new part' then don't actually choose a file you can then use that part for the shape, either way it's a very useful feature, thanks

Re: Shape Library
Umm it works great on a new job just using shapes, but adding a new shape to a existing job with parts already added doesn't seem to work as well, even using 'add to new part' seems to merge it with part last selected.

Re: Shape Library
Thanks, pity you could't have 'add as new part' as a option in there as well. Maybe I'm still missing something but I can't really see the point of adding a shape to another part, ok it can be broken up. I do keep trying with shapes, it really would be spot on if you didn't have to add it to a part...

Re: Moves with many parts showing very slow
Yes I get that problem as well, turning off toolpaths does the trick but it's not ideal as you can't see leadins or tool with then, can get caught out squeezing parts in, wonder if they could be shown with toolpaths turned off?

Shape Library
Thanks there are some nice features in the shape library, trouble is I can't work out how to use it
I can't seem to create a standalone part, it seems to want to attach to another part is that how it works?
I've had a few goes but keep putting it off.

Re: Part import date?
Superb
I have many sheets/jobs on the go there has been quite a few times when it would have been good to have the date when the part was added, yes I could have added it to the filename but already have plenty there ie, SP 10mm P2 qty 5.dxf , that will be a better way, thanks again.

Re: Rotate parts
I usually have a read through the changelog before downloading to see what's new, they were coming that fast over the last few days I missed that one!
As soon as I spotted it rotating using the wheel it really caught my eye, excellent idea, that will be another timesaver!
