Re: Replace part with updated part
Just a heads up, MAKE SURE that you have the proper part highlighted, or you can import a drawing of a completely wrong part. lol

Re: .part not saving path rule selections with part
I was hopeful that the "save path rules to part" functionality would show up in the latest revision. No dice, but I look forward to seeing it in the future! Thanks for all your support, Les.

Re: Ability to change Sheetcam generated lead-in options
That is a good point. I'll put it on the to-do list. Currently it just picks the first join between lines/arcs. It should at least prefer outside corners. Thanks Les! If there were a way for it to find/pick most "open" area, that would be great. About anything would be better than burying...

Re: Is there any way to stop probing for every cut?
Keep in mind, the # put in the refDistance field = number of cut units since last touchoff. refDistance = 10 means it will touch off after 10 units (inches/mm) of actual cut since last touchoff. For some reason, when I first started using it I thought it was a radius setting, not a continuous line s...

Thanks Les! Appreciate your communication and feedback.Les Newell wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 9:26 am I have a list of stuff that needs to be fixed. This should have been on the list but wasn't. I have now added it to the list. I am slowly working through the list as I get time but I'm not sure when I'll get to this one.

Re: .part not saving path rule selections with part
Have you tried the 'copy all' to copy the operations? It even works copying from another job file. Yes, but I save .part files for parts I cut regularly. Ideally, I'd just open the .part file, place it on the sheet, and the sheet is ready to cut. That's the whole point of a .part, IMO. Each of thes...

Re: .part not saving path rule selections with part
Dang. That's disappointing. Having to add rules back into 4 to 6 layers per part takes a bunch of time. It would be infinitely more convenient if the path rule just stayed with the part. I guess I don't understand how saving path rules with a part is significantly different than saving it with a job...

Re: Little holes in my work
Stray points in the drawing, small loops in the lines, areas where the kerf is larger than the gap in the drawing, so the torch has to skip over and punch a small hole, etc. Without an image of the drawing in CAD and Sheetcam, it's hard to tell.

.part not saving path rule selections with part
I'm running Sheetcam Windows 6.1.53, post CandCNCPlasmaLLCNC-rev27C. I've noticed that I'm not saving my selected path rules with my .part files. When I re-open a .part file, the rules are all available. However, instead of each layer having the correct rule applied, "none" is selected. I ...

Re: Some feature requests for optimizing workflow
Keep in mind, saving the .part saves the parts exactly as it's set up at that time. If you change your tool numbers, or your rules, etc, you'll need to address that when you re-open the part. I've changed my cut rule names, and Sheetcam is spazzing out trying to open old .part files with cut rule na...
