Try going to Options/Machine options/Table display and see what's on there. The Size and Origin should match your table. They probably do not right now. I've had mine change before for whatever reason, and re-entering the table entries took care of it.

I have much the same thing happening. What is going on is the scriber will go to it's height, then the Z axis is moving to it's safe z height (slowly). Why it's doing that I don't know. If you make the safe z travel height the same as your scriber z height, then everything is cool. I'm using a diffe...

Is your part at 0,0 in Sheetcam? Quite often when I load a dxf file into Sheetcam, it is nowhere close to 0,0. You can easily move the part around in Sheetcam by using the nesting button. I draw my parts in Coreldraw, and if I forget to put it at 0,0 there, then that causes it to not be at 0,0 in Sh...

I suppose it depends on the post you are using. My tool table has the volts set in it, and the post uses that value for setting the volts in MACH3. I use a Hypertherm Powermax 45, and the tool table entries came with my controller (CandCNC controller). It shouldn't really matter too much on the plas...

I'll have to try the laser out on some thin aluminum, just for grins. I really doubt it has enough power to do much, but what the heck. The laser is only 2000mW. My original intent on building the plasma table was to use it for everything, but after a bit of research, it sounds like the plasma needs...

Brian, it's a pretty low power laser that was originally in a DLP projector. Like you said, midnight engineering!. It's got enough power to cut 1" foam, or 1/4" pvc. It has problems with clear materials. I mostly use it for engraving designs in wood. If I need a wider line I can just offse...

Brian, that was very interesting, thanks for sharing that with us. From the time I built my first CNC machine (a router machine), I have been fascinated with what can be done with CNC. I've since built a plasma table, and just recently added a plate marker to it. (I also recently added a laser to th...

I did a little more testing, and can duplicate the problem every time now. I open SheetCam TNG, open Options, Choose Machine, Choose Post processor Tab, Edit Post button, then choose quit under the File menu. (If I click on the red X to quit the edit program, everything works OK.) When I exit SheetC...

I'll do a little more in depth trouble-shooting when I get some spare time. I'll try it out on my back-up computer, and see if I can see what's going on.

Editing posts

I've had this strange thing going on the last few months whenever I edit a post in SheetCam TNG. If I change a value in the post, i.e. switchOffset, save the post, then go to exit SheetCam, SheetCam crashes. It's not a big deal, I don't change things in the posts that often. The change does take eff...

I loaded your file into CamBam, and it looked fine, did notice everything was splines. I then loaded it into SheetCam, and had the same results you did. I next loaded it back into CamBam, converted it to Polylines, then exported it to a .dxf file. I loaded that file into Sheetcam, and it worked fine...

I've had that happen to me also. At the time I was upgrading to a new computer, so I just downloaded the latest Sheetcam version to it, and things worked just fine then. I suspect that downloading a new copy of Sheetcam is what fixed the problem. http://forum.sheetcam.com/viewtopic.php?t=6362&hi...

So, what do these mean; S900 S3130 S510 M22 I found this explanation in my CandCNC documentation: S900 = Turns on the DTHCII signals S3130 = The first digit (3) indicates this is a volts Preset value. The next 3 digits set the actual value (in volts) S510 = The first digit (5) indicates this is a DT...

I'll assume your talking about the table you pull up under the Tool Table Editor. When you click on the box you want to change, double click it so that the value is highlighted. Then type in the new value and save the table. It works for me, so I hope it works for you too. Edit: Ok, I lied. After re...

If your drawing consists of different parts, i.e. each letter was a different part, you can use the "C" contour edit button at the top of the screen to select each separate part and put it on it's own layer by right clicking the part. But if your drawing is all one part, then you will have...
