Does the /pp switch still work?
I agree that profiles is probably best for his application since he's using 2 different processes.

Try this. Not sure if it still works or not.

Can you install your license on your laptop instead of your CNC computer?

Re: GRBL Laser Post Processor
There should be a built in variable for the tool name. Not sure what it's called. Look at the variable monitor in SheetCam and you should see it.

Re: tool storage, missing tools
It's funny how tools save in SheetCam. I set it to always use the default tool set, and then I save the default tool set any time I make changes. Seems to work for me. Not sure what setting you have that makes it go max speed, and how that works if you set the speed at the machine and not through th...

Re: tool storage, missing tools
Tools are stored in the job files. When you open a job by default you get those tools. If you create a tool in that job, it stays in that job. If you create a tool and save the default tool list from the file menu, those tools will be there when you start a new job. I believe there is also a setting...

Re: postprocessor for Grbl +4th axis, THC & touch-off
By complicated, I meant there is a lot going on, not it's messy. I just scanned it quickly on my phone. I made a lot of custom modifications to my post as well, so I'm sure you would probably say the same thing. I'll check it out more later.

Thanks. I looked at it briefly. It looks fairly complicated. I'll dive into it a little more later.

Re: postprocessor for Grbl +4th axis, THC & touch-off
I'm interested to see what you come up with. I'm also interested in both cases you laid out. Especially #2, since I will be using a post for both cases. I could create 2 posts, but as you say, most of the code is the same.
I'll have a better look at your post later.

Re: postprocessor for Grbl +4th axis, THC & touch-off
I've played around with creating a rotary post for my machine, but haven't built the chuck yet. Someday... I tried to dissect the default posts but was never really sure what was different between the flat sheet posts and the rotary posts. It doesn't look like there are too many differences. Since y...

Just FYI. Per Les, the ramp lead always ramps at a 45 degree angle.

Apologies. It wasn't working on 7.1.22, but I just updated to 7.1.35 and it's fixed. Thanks Les.

Re: GRBL Plasma w THC, Torch Touchoff, and Rotary
The bug I found was not with the value, but with the fact that it doesn't display the check box in the post options window like it does everywhere else.

Re: GRBL Plasma w THC, Torch Touchoff, and Rotary
There is a Boolean variable for posts & tools (and maybe operations), although I still don't think it works correctly in the post variables. I noticed this a while ago, and posted it as a bug on the forum, but I don't think it's ever been fixed. Maybe you'll have better luck. In the tools it dis...
