Mach 3 Rotary post edited for use in a mill
I am trying to mill text on a cylinder using the attached post. My A axis is located to the right side of the machine and any positive rotation is clockwise (toward the operator) and any negative rotation is CCW (away from operator). I imported a line of text in dxf format and tried engraving it, bu...

I have had the same problem with SC loosing parameters on occasion when my windows 10 computer crashes(its a cheaper computer with only 2 gigs memory I use for shop work). This only happens once every month or so. I use SC 3-5 times a week. I keep a backup of the tool list on the cloud and a jump dr...

Sorry to keep bothering you on this Les, but I installed the modified post for calling up the next tool you uploaded and when I went to post a known good job, I got an error saying something about nil and an error on a line number, which was the same line you added for next tool (it was underlined i...

Next tool
Les, is this a post variable I need to add to the job options variable box? I added nextTool with none selected in the next box and I tried -1 and 0 in the third box. Nothing changed with the post. Or maybe I misunderstood and you meant actually editing the post processor?
Thanks
Thanks

Next tool call up number
Whenever I run the post processor (in this case, Fanuc(edited) and Rotary Mach 3(edited)), SC post defaults the next tool call up to T102. It would be nice if SC would read ahead to the next tool number and replaced the T102 with the actual number of the next tool. I changed it to T0 instead for my ...

Update
I changed the amount of lead in on the 1.5 router from 1.49 to 1.5 and the issue went away. Also when I would change the lead in to an arc with ramp feed down to the z cutting depth it went away as well. Just one of those learning curve things, otherwise great program.

Tool is feeding when it should rapid
This is an interesting problem I ran across today. I use SC daily and am rather proficient with it, so this baffles me. Refer to uploaded job file please and note the two operations that are checked, the 2.0 drill and the second operation of the 1.5 router. The two operations that are selected are t...

Development version release
I was just wondering when the development version of SC will be moved to the "stable version" and will there be any documentation on what is new or improved with it?
Will it be a stand alone program or will it be piggybacked on the current stable release?
Just bumping this topic.

Setting post process to all upper case
Is there any way of editing the post processor so that it will post all comments in upper case letters? I use a Fanuc post and Mach3 Rotary post (attached below) that I have edited to better work with a 16-i-M Fanuc control on a Daewoo vertical mill. My machine displays the letters in an unreadable ...
