Circle, CenterPoint, Radius or Diameter Drill , CenterPoint , Depth, Return, FeedRate This makes it VERY ea...

HIYA LES, You may want to consider a SNAP TO Part function so you can create several shapes then overlay them on each other and have them SNAP TO say the center point if needed. Otherwiase it would HARD to get them aligned exactly as needed.

HIYA Les, Well with plasma it is fairly easy as you are only creating 2d shapes to cut.

Circles, squares, triangles, straight lines, arcs, Leadins, Polygons, etc

In mill you create pockets, drill holes tap holes, Pockets with a internal island, etc

The Run From Here will never work with Mach3 as long as there is a G31 or G28 in the Gcode as it tries to RUN the codes but cannot complete them.

YOu can however put those codes into a Mcode. THEN mach3 can run the Run from Here routine as it will NOT try to run the Mcodes.

The Idea is to NOT let the spindle drive the tap further down. It should immediately reverse the Z at a fast initial rate to STOP the downfeed from the tap and set the reverse clutch. THen finish the Z upfeed at the proper rate. TO avoid pullout at the top of stroke.

HIYA LES, With a tapmatic you NEED to use the fast retract as described in the manual. This is to ensure that the forward clutch disengages and the reverse clutch ENGAGES correctly . Otherwise clutch dogs do not engage correctly and it may CHATTER going up . At the TOP of the stroke on retract I slo...

In CADConvert what you think is a closed group of points into a polyline. If it has an OPEN point in the group the line will NOT convert all the way and if you click on the line it will highlite ONLY the points that connected. leaving you with a visual of WHAT is not connected.

You could have used SheetCam to import the Tap file into SheetCam.

On import select Gcode File.

OF course Les would have to allow Scam to READ the Z values in on import.

They are there most are just set to zero as most users are not aware that most cads are actually 3d in nature XYZ.

IF Scam read/saved the Z values as well some interesting things could be done with it.

Les would have to allow Scam to read the Z value. And if he did there are many things Scam could use that value for.
