Re: Break up nest

Once job is loaded it's good at most things, just adding one more part from another single part dxf is very slow though, I can keep it to say 2 sheets and would be ok so it's not really a problem. If I could think of a way of cutting each part on the nested sheet ie; holes first then outer cut I wou...

Break up nest

Just wondering if I am doing this right, I'm bringing in a full sheet of nested parts, select all inside holes then add operation to holes and also outside cuts. Then break apart which leaves all the separate parts on with operations applied to each part, then I go over all the start points usually ...

It's probably this setting when you load the drawing into sheetcam.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts

Good stuff that will be very useful, I guess most useful to me would be:
N - Nesting
V - View toolpath
S - Start path
C - Contours
A - Action points

Re: Wiggle pierce help.

Well cut a full sheet of 12mm the other day, seemed to go a bit easier on the nozzle, definitely pierces easier as I had to bring pierce time down from 1.5secs to 1 sec.
Think 1mm wiggle worked best for me on holes.

Re: Wiggle pierce help.

Tried all sorts of combinations, no cut rules, many different posts & setting with no luck then thought I will try the standard TNG and that works just as it should do, not tried cutting yet only a dry run but it looks ideal. I think there could be something in the development version that's cau...

Wiggle pierce help.

After reading another post dealing with wiggle pierce, I thought it was about time I took another look. I'm using candcnc 11J post with switch touch off, if I use no wiggle it's fine. When I use wiggle as screenshot below it touches off raises to pierce height, then down to cut height briefly turns ...

Good stuff got it now! I had tried this before and failed, it might save the day sometime

You need to lock those parts, then you can select that inside part to cut first.
In nesting mode right click/ lock

Re: Break up drawing resets all manually placed start points

Yes I have been wondering about this as well recently, the nesting software I'm using outputs a dxf file for the nest, before breaking up the sheet I set operation for holes, then operation for outer cut, then break up drawing. Like you say it takes time to go through all the outer cut leadins movin...

Re: Lead in and lead out behaviour control

Don't think there is, another one for a sharp corner is tangent, it's not that obvious really, I went a few years not realising! it runs straight onto the cut and off.

Re: Swiftcut default tools file

If you open one on your first sheetcam job files, that will load the toolset you were using when it was saved.
Then go to file/save default toolset that will restore sheetcam tools as they were before, you can also choose 'save toolset as' then load that toolset.

Job options icon on toolbar

I can't see a way of adding it to the toolbar, it would be a very usefull addition if it could be added, don't know how many times I go into it every day!
Hot keys would be the business :P
