I'm afraid spiral pockets always start in the middle. You don't really get much control over the start position.
As a workaround you can do a number of inside offsets with different finish allowances but it will take longer to cut and is a pain to set up.

There is an option to show all tools in the job report but it doesn't show a lot of details for the tools.

I was finally able to get the Z to follow the contour of the tube. To make this happen, I ended up restoring the original post that shipped with my table and the rotary axis. All motion tests I completed looked OK...perhaps the torch height was a bit close. That is good news. The cut height being a...

You should not have to resort to mounting the computer in a box. However if you do it shouldn't matter if you use steel or ali. I have had a fair amount of success using ferrite toroids. Put them on your motor cables and input/output cables. This thread on CNCZone http://www.cnczone.com/forums/gener...

Sorry it took me a while to reply. Could you try the development version of SheetCam. Your licenses will work with that version. What post are you using?

In Config->general config make sure 'A axis is angular' (or whatever axis your rotary axis is) is NOT checked.

With angular mode enabled Mach 'rolls over' some moves, taking the shortest path rather than what it has been commanded to do.

That motion is really odd. Just a thought - in Mach make sure your rotary axis is defined as a linear axis, not rotary. Mach's rotary implementation does not play well with SheetCam.

The last one you posted won't even load , if you right click it doesn't give you the option to execute If you right-click on the file and select 'properties' you should be able to set it as executable. That is an operating system function and has nothing to do with the contents of the file. Basical...

OK, let's try that again. This version was built on Ubuntu 10.04. It should run on later distros as well. http://www.sheetcam.com/tst/SheetCam_setupV6.1.37-32 Right-click and save as. Note if it asks if you want to update, DON'T answer yes.

Dammit. Forget that. The installer works but SheetCam still won't run. Back to the drawing board.

I have uploaded a test version to www.sheetcam.com/tst/SheetCam_setupV6.1.37-32 (right-click this link and save as). This should be compatible with all versions of glibc down to V2.7. You should be able to just download and run this version without having to unzip it.

Are you using the correct download for your setup? If your machine is 32 bit you must use the 32 bit download and vice-versa. Tom has tested the latest version with CommandCNC and it worked for him.
