I understand. It just catches me off guard when I don't think about it during programming and then see the second profile doesn't get cut. That's when I think to ask (just in case).

I haven't tried SheetCam for Linux in quite awhile. I run the Windows version using Wine and works for the most part.

Yes - Sounds like you're getting there. SheetCam's post processor can provide the distance from one pierce to the next before it needs to zero (I assume you mean a floating head/touchoff to zero Z).
