Re: Some feature requests for optimizing workflow
Would it be possible to have the overcut as a part of the tool, vs the jet cutting window? That way the overcut amount would be tied to the material thickness. I use small .06 overcut on 14/16ga (w/ torch off before end code), but this goes up to .1 overcut with .125 material. Occasionally I overloo...

Re: Variable THC feed speeds?
What system are you running? I'm not aware of any system where Sheetcam controls the THC parameters, other than turning it on/off in the code.
Most systems using sheetcam have the THC controls in another area, not Sheetcam.

Re: Issue importing Sheetcam Windows job file to Sheetcam Linux
Will do. When I run the post on the Windows version, and send that to the Linux box, CommandCNC does fine with it (that's how I cut it). Opening the .job file in Sheetcam caused the issues.

Re: Issue importing Sheetcam Windows job file to Sheetcam Linux
Hello I have posted before about the same problem with importing curves into the Linux version of SheetCam. I believe this has to do with the SVG support and the conversion of arbitrary (Bezier) curves to a series of circular arcs. My work around is to create a job file in Windows and then reopen i...

Issue importing Sheetcam Windows job file to Sheetcam Linux
I've had this pop up before, but thought it was a drawing issue. It's popping up again today, and I know it's not a drawing issue. My file in Sheetcam Windows looks fine: 20190621_112101.jpg When I save that as a .job file, transfer to Linux, and open job in Sheetcam Linux, it looks like this: 20190...

Opening job with old tools crashes my system
I've recently "standardized" my toolsets (and rules) across both the Linux (tableside cutting) machine and my windows (office design) machine. I copied the tools from the Linux box to the Windows box, as the tableside tools are the "mo betterer" tools. However, now if I open old ...

I "dogbone" the slots on my firepits (and my fab table) for this very reason.

Re: Ability to change Sheetcam generated lead-in options
That is a good point. I'll put it on the to-do list. Currently it just picks the first join between lines/arcs. It should at least prefer outside corners. Thanks Les! If there were a way for it to find/pick most "open" area, that would be great. About anything would be better than burying...

Re: Rapid movement?
Options -> Job options -> Rapid Clearance, at the bottom of the screen...what's the setting? This determines how high the Z lifts during a rapid movement.

Ability to change Sheetcam generated lead-in options
I'm using a CNC plasma cutter. I use Coreldraw to create my parts, and I nest them in Corel, using the eCut plugin. eCut is very handy, offering a variety of useful functions. I then import the nested DXF into Sheetcam. Once imported into Sheetcam, though, I run into issues. Sheetcam seems to want t...

Re: Rules for THC On and THC Off
Since the rules that are pending do not work well in all cases I have a simple suggestion to Les. Do two simple things like functionality without choosing the rules: The first is to analyze the contours and holes in the software and to select where the speed is not 100%, or at least 90%, and the mo...

Where are toolsets stored in Linux?
Les, Can you tell me where I'll find the default storage directory for toolsets in Linux? I've got Sheetcam on my windows office machine, and Linux table machine. I use the Windows box for most of the "heavy lifting" for cut files, but occasionally need to tweak settings/layouts tableside....
