I'f i program a job for the mill on a roughing pass, I put the tabs where i need them, then do an operation for a new tool for the finish pass, how I get the tabs in the same positions??

Seems the tabs are not persistent from roughing to finish??

Or am i doing something wrong??

Got it, that works very nicely and solves a lot of issues.

Any chance you could add the profile name to the caption -

"SheetCam TNG (Plasma) - My job name..."

Ooh, that sounds useful, is it possible to switch to that way after using it in the normal startup config??

Or does it lose all the settings ?

Ok, got that, however i cant use it because it does not fit on my screen believe it or not!

I have a widescreen laptop and the form is too tall to show all the boxes at the bottom and does not have scroll bars :( :(

Oh well

Hold-in tabs

Is there an option to place hold-in tabs manually for milling?

Machine save / load...

When using machine save & load, is it possible to get the type of machine - rotary or flame/jet to save as well??

Would be good :)

Plugins?

I am building a small CNC router/mill to go alongside my plasma table, I heard a rumour there was a speed & feed calc plugin - does it still exist??

Also, what would be the recommended post for a generic mini-mill running Mach3 ??

Many thanks

Dave

Thanks, it's just a different way of working. I'm fairly new to SheetCam and I'm used to letting the software do it's thing for me, It just means I need to take control of it. No real need to split the layers in the drawing as it's just as easy to use sheet cam to flip the contour form one layer to ...

Yes, you can simply do manual layering in SheetCam and it works, it makes the planning a bit slower but it does work.
