Re: Fanuc post processor & cut depth problems

Can you explain what you mean. This seems to be a Fanuc specific thing.

Re: Cannot Drill Simple Holes... What Is Wrong?

I think the main problem is that you have multiple circles on top of each other. This makes it very difficult for SheetCam to work out what is going on. In cad select each circle and delete it. If the circle does not go away, delete it again until it does go away. Now undo that delete. You will have...

Re: Text in Inkscape

That is correct. With Inskscape I would also recommend using SVG instead of DXF.

Re: Fanuc post processor & cut depth problems

What value are you setting the peck depth to? To drill without pecking set the peck depth to equal or greather than the drill depth. If you set the peck depth to 0 it will take a very long time to generate the tool paths and maybe cause it to crash as you are generating tens of thousands of pecks pe...

Re: price cnc AVNC10

I have seen the crashing on close issue a few times. It usually turns out to be a display driver issue. Intel display drivers in particular seen to give trouble. Try updating your display driver. If that doesn't help, try the development version of SheetCam. It uses slightly different graphics which...

In SheetCam go to Options->job options and set the origin to the top right.

Re: Fanuc post processor & cut depth problems

Did you try with just one hole?

Yes. Assuming the left hand corner nearest to you is 0,0 then X+ would be to the right and Y+ would be away from you.

Are you sure you mean the Z axis? SheetCam won't change the depth unless you specify different depths. If you send me the job file (file->save job) I will take a look and see if I can figure out what is going on.

Sorry or the delay in replying. I've been away for a while. TNG doesn't currently have any tutorials. TNG is changing so much at the moment that any tutorials would go out of date pretty quickly. The same goes fro the help file which is currently just the originals SheetCam help file.

Sorry, this has been an ongoing problem for a long time. I haven't yet found a good way round it.

Stepover is the distance between successive passes. Decreasing the stepover makes the passes closer together.

Are you using a roughing pass then a finishing pass? If so is the finishing pass the same depth?. If this is the result of one cut then as you say, it is probably a damaged cutter.
