Hello new to group and new to Sheetcam
Adrian, As I received this through the sheetcam forum, obviously you are on board!+ If you go to Options > Machine > Post Processor > Post Documentation (located on the bottom of the tab window) I think you will find most if not all of what you want to modify a post processor. My advice is to save e...

Hello new to group and new to Sheetcam
Adrian I am another one that uses an obscure control program. I use Turbocnc which has a very simular syntax to cncpro and over the years, I have modified the Turbocnc post to suit my needs. I think you might find it fairly easy to do that and be happy with it. You might be able to use it as is to d...

Don, Just to jump in here, change your start point to the opposite end of the line and it will offset to the other side. Les says that on an open path, it will always offset to the same side of the line and the work around is as stated. Change the start point. Art Country Bubba At 07:44 PM 4/17/2015...

Yes, just copy it over. I had to do the same thing recently when my computer died. Also copied over my customized post processor files. Just be sure to put them where they are accessible and YOU know where they are. Art Country Bubba At 10:50 AM 4/14/2015, you wrote: I have to move my Sheetcam insta...

Hi, I am looking to modify my post again and to do the process, I need to know the diameter of the rotary tool that I am using. At this point, I have things working manually (that is I have to manually enter the tool diameter), but would like to automate the process. I have attempted to search thing...

How to open dwg files with sheetcam 6.0.15?
Jusn,
Simple answer is you don't open dwg files! Sheetcam recognizes dxf , svg,
plt, hpg, Gcode, Excellon, and Dstv.
When you save a cad file, for instance save as file type dxf instead of dwg.

cant get the text to show up in sheetcam
From the looks of the gcode, it only did the "setup" part and none of the operations. Are you sure you made the operations before hitting post???? Best guess on my part. Art Country Bubba At 12:25 PM 1/21/2015, you wrote: hi, thanks for the rapid response! just managed to get the text to s...

Chris, Can't explain why your having a problem. I downloaded the drawing and opened it up to see if I could see any drastic problems and found nothing wrong. I then imported the drawing into Sheetcam Development 6.1.13 and the text was there I then tried to do a simulation of cutting and it worked f...

Hi All.
I have my post set with Z Zero set to the top of the work.
With a 0.760 depth of cut I would expect a Z-0.760 but I get a Z0.365 instead.
Any ideas?

Chris, In order for this to work, the text has to be "exploded". When I used autocad, it could be done using express tools. Not sure if that still exists or not. Presently, I use "Stickfont" V1.1 which is a freeware program to generate my text which can then be saved as either a ...
