New feature suggestion

Thanks Marius, I'll look into them, but the number of pierces is not really the issue. For example, I could have cut 10 open lines that were only 40mm long. That won't cause the issues described. On the other hand I could have just 2 cuts but each one is quite long, and the compressor may need to ca...

New feature suggestion

Hi Les, just read this thread on Plasmaspider: PlasmaSpider.com • View topic - Please Help with a Macro for sheet cam The OP wants to periodically pause the run of gcode to allow his too small compressor to catch up. I don't have that issue but one similar. On hot days, cutting thicker steel, I've...

There's a Sheetcam JOB file in the attached zip folder. It's a very simple cut for illustrating this problem. I drew a disc with a small hole in the middle. Import into Sheetcam. In Sheetcam I put the small hole on a separate layer and use a drill operation on this layer to mark the hole centre, all...

Small bug in chain cutting ??

Hi Les, some time ago I sent 2 support files showing this issue. I think I also mentioned it here, but never heard back. Chain cutting works great with one small exception I found when cutting parts inside a part. Example, take a ring with 4 rectangles inside. The chain cuts work great between the 4...

Re: New feature for Sheetcam

Thankyou very much Paul & Les, Wonderful, it was staring me in the face. I think I got mind blocked because I tried that when the line was on the other side (trying to get it to go to the other side), but this time I'm only trying to change direction. Sorry guys, guess I had a dopy moment LOL. K...

New feature for Sheetcam

Hi Les, I've just come across a situation where it would be great to have a tick box "Change Cut Side" that could be applied to open lines. I know by default Sheetcam cuts on the right side of an open line, and to get the cutter on the other side of the line you simply move the start point...

Array function does not cut one part at a time

Thanks Marius, I'd previously tried that but it didn't work. I'd got to the desperate stage and started browsing outside the tool & operation boxes, and I came across that one so tried it. Keith. __._,_.___ http://geo.yahoo.com/serv?s=97476590/grpId=12675264/grpspId=1705007389/msgId=16218/stime=...

RE: Array function does not cut one part at a time

It's OK I got it sorted. I think it was the horizontal / vertical slider in the operations box. I moved it to the opposite side and voila, a yippee moment. __._,_.___ http://geo.yahoo.com/serv?s=97476590/grpId=12675264/grpspId=1705007389/msgId=16216/stime=1393320376 Visit Your Group New Members 1 Un...

Array function does not cut one part at a time

Plasma cutting. I have a "part" which consists of 24 holes in a row, plus a single open line. This is imported as one part / drawing despite being a row of holes with an open line.I put the holes on a separate layer. Then I create a drilling operation to plasma mark the holes, all OK. Next...
