4th Axis
Good day, I am thinking about making a separate tube notcher. i currently have a plasma table, but i want to use the same control box and plasma cutter (i have an extra torch for quick switch) for the pipe notcher. So i will replace the x-axis with the rotary. Making it is not the problem, i am thin...

Re: Job report time
I did a few tests today. i timed pierce time, put it in (2secs more to be "safe") and i checked my rapid speed. It was 10000, so added that aswell. When i have to do a bigger cut, i will make notes of everything.

Job report time
When i make a job report on Sheetcam, i see the total run time, but it is way off(on a certain job the actual time was 1.5x calculated). I checked the cutting speed, and that is 100% on spot. So next step i checked if Sheetcam calculated each pierce, and yes it does. Next i was wondering what my rap...

Pierce delay
Hello, My pierce delay is far from accurate. even when i have it on 0.1 sec, it waits more than 1 second to move. i found this in the post processor: if (pierceDelay > 0) then post.Text (" G04 P") post.Number (pierceDelay,"0.###") post.Eol() end shouldn't it be: (piercedelay,&quo...

Re: Arc ignites on rapid speed height, than lowers.
Thankyou, thats atleast a start!
I will adjust it and see how it works.
This is the table: https://www.pritec-automation.com/nl/product/acros-150/
Can you recommend me another post-processor? Table has x, y and a floating z-axis.

Re: Arc ignites on rapid speed height, than lowers.
Thankyou for your time!
i put the job file in it, aswell as the g-code of it (check line 75-85) and the postprocessor.
But can i use any post processor, or am i limmited to the one of the table's brand?

Re: Arc ignites on rapid speed height, than lowers.
Thankyou for replying, I use the postprocessor delivered by the table supplier. (its not a big company like those american brands) The thing is, like i said, all is fine if i use 3mm cutting height, if i make that 3,2 3,5 or 4, it does this problem. And when the job has 5 startpoints, its 1-2 random...

Re: Arc ignites on rapid speed height, than lowers.
This is an example of the ignition.
So u see the z 40, thats the rapid height. (Behind M5 torch off)
Than coordinates of next startpoint, than M03 (torch on), pierce delay and after all that cutting height...

Arc ignites on rapid speed height, than lowers.
Hello, I am having trouble with the g-code that is created by sheetcam. Sometimes the arc ignites on the rapid speed height, and than it goes down to the cutting height. I found out that this doesnt happen if i have cutting height at 3.0mm, but when i do 2.8, 3.2, 3.5, 4.0 etc it causes the problem....
