I am responding to the proposed move to group.io with a resounding YES! The Yahoo mess has driven me crazy for years. It only delivers my reply's occasionally - when it feels like it. It didn't today so I came here.
Do it,

Hi, So I now have a system for text generation, thanks to you folks, that works great. But. Always a 'but'. :) I'm having some routing artifacts that I'm only guessing about their causes. I know a lot of you have way more experience in this stuff than I and can probably tell me what's causing these ...

See if this works for you: 1. In DraftSight draw some text in the font and size of your choice. 2. At the command line type in explodetext 3. Select the text to explode and press enter or the space bar. DraftSight should tell you how many entities were exploded. If DraftSight responds with 0 then s...

Hi ajclay! First let me thank you for your suggestions. Then let me REALLY thank you for turning me onto Dassault's Acad clone. I'm using Autocad Light 2004 (I think it's 2004) for the original work. (SheetCam V5.1.5) I've picked simplex text and it ...

Hi Les. It was specific DXFs and they would always fail - reliably. After reading your response - thank you - I messed with the acceleration one step at a time. When I got to the second to last one from the slowest. It loaded the DXF correctly, every time. Unfortunately SCam also started failing to ...

White Block of Failure.
Hello, I use Autocad for my layouts. I export the drawings as DXFs. Then I open them in SheetCam. Most of the time this works very well. But sometimes what happens is the drawing shows up exactly as I expect then the SheetCam display changes to just a single white square about 1/16" x 1/16"...
