I love that feature. I use it often. Same with copy tabs so that making a finish pass is a piece of cake. :)

I usually just draw the exact pockets I want to cut regardless of the part. I draw the stock size. Then overlay hole placement and pockets. Sometimes multiple pockets. It works pretty well that way. manual nesting

I do a lot of manual nesting for my plasma cutter and often use different size sheets. I do all nesting in my Cad program and use the sheet size as a border. I find it is very easy to do that way. I may not get as close as A high dollar nesting program might, but it would take a bunch of the small p...

Using SC on a router and a plasma cutter?

I would like to use SC that I have been using for both a mill and a router on a plasma cutter now. Are there different profiles for Sheetcam? In other words, the way I used it on the mill and router were similar. Will setting up SC for a plasma lose the setting for the mill? I always use an old job ...

4.0.2.

I can't seem to reproduce it either. This was, however, an older JOB file that I used with a new DXF. May have had some latency in it somehow.
I will keep trying this on some of my other older JOB files to see if it happens again, but now I know what to do. :)
Thanks, Les.

Never mind

Must have been a regen issue.
Seems to work fine now.

I'll make note if it happens again, but with the first few tries after rebooting TNG, all is golden.

Can't force a start point where I want it.

I have some slots that I am milling. These are right on the edge of a profile, but they are their own geometry on their own layer as well. These are not open lines, but closed paths. Inside offset. Like a pocket, but a milling op. I want the start point on the outside of the profile, so the end mill...

My license did show. I didn't get any error messages. While it didn't work correctly in either win 7 64 bit alone or in comp. mode, I did install Virtual PC and used XP Mode. Then installed TNG there and now it's good times once again. :) Works like it should. I thought that was kinda odd in the fir...

Trouble with TNG not posting

I recently had to upgrade my computer after a lightning strike.
Went with W7 64.
I still have a good backup of all the files I used including my PP. I just can't get TNG to post more than 6 or 7 lines of code.
I am running it in compatibility mode for XP SP3.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi Les. I reverted back to XP from Vista for awhile. I uploaded Sheetcam to this HD for the first time using the newest release. It didn't load any post processor choices. It's just blank. I can fix it, but just curious about it. Ver. 5.1.11 Thanks. ------------------------ Lee -------------------- ...
