Re: The end is nigh! (well sort of...)
This news on the one hand saddens me, I have had the opportunity to recommend SheetCAM to many users of our numerical control and have never received any negative feedback, but on the other hand I am also happy, from one developer to another we get to a point that it is okay to leave a challenging p...

Re: Info about a feature into "Create Plasma Tool" dialog
Ok, I can also add a default value in "cutAmpere" & "cutVolts" custom tool parameters but that I would like to know is if it is possible, in PlasmaTool.lua, to get database (csv) Current and Voltage fields and place programmatically the values in the custom parameters during ...

Info about a feature into "Create Plasma Tool" dialog
There is a way to use the two read-only fields "Current" and "Voltage" as fields of the tool created with the button "Create Tool"? 001.png My CNC board can control the Ampere of the plasma generator through a specific G-Code so this field is very interesting. The CNC b...

Something changed in where rules code is applied
Hi all, In the latest versions of SheetCAM, something is changed in the CAM engine where rules are applied. I've some rules to disable the THC in a very simple way: 001.png the rule THC just places #1=1 so in the code this disables THC enable phase: 002.png In the previous versions of SheetCAM I've ...

Jog Options Variables
I was not able to understand if Jog Options -> Variable can be passed to post-processor. What I need is to add a way to "override" the configuration of the post-processor. In my post I've added a parameter to define some plasma behaviour: -- touchTouchMinimumDistance -- define the minimum ...

Re: Decimal separator char
Thank you very much, Les!
Your help has been very useful to me, rarely I've to write post-processors, so I'm a newbie in this matter.
Tomorrow I will send it to the customer for the final test.

Decimal separator char
Hi all, I have a problem with the attached post-processor. In Italian W10 the decimal separator is set as ',' but g-code uses '.' char as decimal separator. At 90% of times, the SheetCAM post engine works fine and uses '.' for decimals. The remaining 10% of times, in the same PC, some ',' enter in n...

Knife and segments end
Hi all, we are CNC controls makers and we are using sheetcam to produce a knife path for a ultrasonic cnc cutter. Strangely when we import a NC (Gcode path) or a DXF path a lot of "segment end" are placed in continous curve and this create a lot of UP/ROTATE/DOWN knife movements which inva...
