Re: Offset Open Lines

New issue, same project. I successfully cut 52 of the 160 pieces yesterday and the cuts were superb with a very small amount of dross on the back side what a wire wheel just touching it removed. I realized after doing those, that my drawing was wrong and the removed area was too wide so a total do o...

Re: Offset Open Lines

When you import a drawing a box pops up with a number of options. Is that set to metric? If so try setting it to inches. Thanks Les that was it. I realize how it happened. I was working from my laptop in lieu of my office desktop and when I posted the file, it was from the laptop which I had never ...

Re: Offset Open Lines

I am having a puzzling situation. I posted the file, set up the machine and tried a cycle with the torch disabled. It ran the file but it was moving a very small amount, yet following the program. I quickly realized by the onscreen dimensions of the part that it is set up in mm. I never changed this...

Offset Open Lines

Hello, I have a simple rectangular part (160 pieces) from which I would like to remove a section from each end via plasma as seen in the attached. I drew it in two layers so I could isolate the two small rectangle drops. I realize that I can adjust my cad drawing to accommodate the kerf width and ig...

Les Newell wrote: Mon Aug 22, 2022 2:47 pm No, SheetCam can't do this. I've looked into it a few times but every time I try figuring out how to actually generate those tool paths my brain starts melting and running out of my ears.
That's funny Les. Maybe someday

Trochiodal/Adaptive Routing

Hi all, Now that I have my post processor sorted out and I am able to cut, I am wondering if Sheetcam has the capability of Trochiodal/Adaptive path cutting? Read a lot about it and it seems like a great way to be able to make deeper and better cuts in aluminum. Any thoughts are appreciated. Below i...

Nested COmment

Hello, I am trying to get this file to run and received a "Nested Comment" issue. It says near line 3 of the code as seen in the photo attached. I am not seeing the issue and was hoping someone with more G-code experience could take a look at the code attached and let me know. Thanks, Steve

Re: New Spindle Setup - Newbie

I'm not familiar with CandCNC tool change routines. If they need the machine to be zeroed then move the part in SheetCam to match the position of the sheet on your machine. It's generally a good idea to set up some stops on the machine so you can easily locate the work. On my machine I have a serie...

New Spindle Setup - Newbie

Hello all, I have been using Sheetcam for a number of years with CommandCNC for Plasma with great success. Recently I added a water cooled 2.2 KW spindle and Huanyang VFD to the mix. I purchased and hooked up the new ISS-05 spindle control from CommandCNC for RS-485 control to the VFD and it works g...

Plasma to Router Conversion

Hi All, I am nearing completion of my router setup on my plasma table. I am wondering if I can get some direction as to how to do a homing X, Y & Z probe and offset by way of running a g-code. I am running Command CNC Bladerunner and currently have a home switch for X & Y with a floating Z h...

Part Perimeter - No Cut Path

Hi all, I am having a problem with a very basic T shaped bracket with bolt holes. In Sheetcam, the bolt holes have the plasma cut path showing correctly, but the outside of the part remains red lines. I have checked for closure multiple times, exited both SC and ACAD, redrawn the part numerous times...
