Go to the task manager and find SheetCam.exe & click end task. Then try running the update file.

Re: What bugs you the most in SheetCam?

Sorry, I thought I replied to this. It should only ask you when you are closing SheetCam. I'm not sure if it is a good idea to remove this. It gives you a last chance to change your mind on the name. Removing it could also catch out people who now expect this behaviour. I think the expected behavio...

Re: What bugs you the most in SheetCam?

I always thought it was weird how Save asks you for a filename if you've already previously saved the file. It works like what most programs call Save As. I know it's a safety feature, but I find it slightly annoying.

Re: pirce

You'll probably have to modify your post to make one that just does pierces. I think there is a mach3 pierce only post running around on the forum somewhere.

Re: Sheetcam Settings

You have to delete the settings folder to reset it. Go to help..open settings folder and it will get you to the right place. It's in the user data area which is usually hidden.
Once the folder is open, I would close SheetCam before I deleted it.

Re: Academic question on calculating arc length.

Couldn't you use trig to calculate the arc angle given the start, end, and center points?
If you know three points then you can calculate the lengths of all three sides. Then you can calculate the angles.

Re: Plasma Cutting and Engraving on same part - University Capstone Project

Or you could use the easyscriber and put in two operations and put the scriber in manually.
I have mine setup like WyoGreen explained.

Re: Sheetcam, GRBL, and Sienci Longmill

Thc is torch height control. It is a device that uses a voltage feedback from the plasma arc to detect the torch to work distance and adjust the z axis to maintain the desired distance while cutting. This is critical to getting good quality cuts. Irrelevant with routing. Les is the creator of SheetC...

I've seen some discussion on here about GRBL. Did you try the search function at the top of the main forum page?

Re: Break up nest

You shouldn't have to break up the parts if you're just moving start points. You should be able to move them individually.
