Re: hypertherm post arc dwell

Pierce delay and pause at end of cut both happen while the torch is fired. I think the best method would be to use the arc ok signal to detect when the arc has begun to cut. If you use Mach3 and have a spare input, you should be able to add this ability to your m3 macro. I think the code is posted o...

Re: Print tool table

Question for Les. At what point do some of the new features in the Dev version get moved over to the stable version? I have tried the Dev version a few times, but I seem to have issues with it crashing on me, so I keep going back to the stable version. I would like to see the lead settings assigned ...

Re: Print tool table

I've never looked at the actual file, but I'm sure there is a way to format it the way you want it. You could always write a macro in excel to clean it up.
I'll look at it when I get a chance and see if I can figure something out.

Re: Print tool table

Can't you open the excel file and format it all pretty? I don't know what it looks like, but formatting in excel isn't all that difficult.
If it's delimited, then text to columns should make it all pretty.

Re: New Tool voltages

Which post processor are you using. The setting is in the post. It provides the range. You can modify the post to allow lower values.

Re: New Tool voltages

Do you have a setting in the tool window for volts? This setting comes from the post processor as an extra option. The variable in the post may be setup incorrectly causing it to default to an incorrect value. What post are you using? Do you have a THC that can be controlled from gcode? If not, then...

Re: Floating Z axis problem

M06 is a macro. It's Tool Change in Mach3 T1 is tool 1. Check the macro folder under the Mach profile and see what is going on in that macro. I also see S500. That's.a spindle speed command. Usually not used in plasma. I don't think these codes are in the Mach3 plasma post. Are you using this post?

Re: Floating Z axis problem

Are you using a macro in Mach3 to do the probing? Macros seem to have a problem skipping ahead when doing moves. It also could be that you're probing too fast causing it to overshoot the switch. What is your feedrate on your G31 move? I would think this problem should show up on single step as well ...

Re: Floating Z axis problem

Is your probe input lighting up before the z starts going back up? It seems like you must be getting a phantom input in order for it to reverse.

Re: Sheetcam Error Messagre

You need to select the layer in your operation. The layer name you is selected is not in the drawing file you loaded. It defaults to the previous layer you selected in the last drawing. This drawing must not have that layer.

Re: dxf layer import problem

When you import, there is an option to use colors as layers. You must have checked it accidentally.

I'd go ahead and update it. Lots of things have been fixed in the later versions.

Re: contour mill operation

I'm not familiar with milling with SheetCam. Maybe you could draw the box with the edge where you will be starting wider by the width of the bit. Then it will lower beside the material and feed in from the edge. It will also probably mill the rest of that area running off of the material. I'm not su...

Re: contour mill operation

Can you draw a box around your part the size of the material? Then your SheetCam part would actually represent the area inside the box but outside of your actual part.
