Re: Switched to UCCNC cuts are weird

there are some strange things with uccnc. basically it does not like complete circles..... best to break them into quadrants with the sheetcam switch. post.SetOptions(post.ARC_SEGMENTS) also check your acceleration settings they will be different than mach3 (new software always retune your machine) ...

Re: help with commissioning a cnc plasms

my main question is about the post processing, the sheetcam has a controller that's close to mine but dose not have thc. this statement confuses me, sheetcam does not have any controllers.... sheetcam creates gcode from a 2D or 2.5D profile, and there are a number of post processor files which can ...

Re: Extra Unwanted/needed G1 move being output

I have not looked at the gcode shapes, but could it be that you have and inside or outside offset set that are affecting arcs (G2 motion) and not centerline so the post processor is stepping to the outside of the arc (or inside) for the next move try the post processor with no offset. if this is art...

Re: Sheetcam Mach3 und THC

M10/m11 is not really faster, it's a different type of macro, it is a synchronous macro, so it does not stop motion, toggle and the continue with motion, it just triggers when the gcode being read sees it. it needs to have a motion command DIRECTLY after it or it will not be seen try M10 G0 C1 and M...

Re: Sheetcam Mach3 und THC

that is how THC works in mach3

it is a non synchronous macro, so when it is called motion must slow down, the macro is triggered, and then motion accelerates back up to the feedrate.

Re: The end is nigh! (well sort of...)

that's a shame Les, good to see you retiring but sad for those of us who really like sheetcam.

I wish I had the programming knowledge. still 2-3 years is a great transition time to a new keeper of the sheetcam package

Re: Can't install SheetCam on Ubuntu

on Debian, I just install it from the previous release repository.

https://packages.debian.org/buster/libreadline7

I did wonder if rebuilding the Deb and changing the dependency to 8 would get it to run without issue.
