Changing tool numbers

Hi All.

Is there a way to update all jobt files when changing a tool number?

My cnc router has a drill block and I want to move a bit from one pocket to another but have 50 or more jobt files that are affected. I guess I want to keep the same description but change the tool number.

Thanks.

Change tool table

Good morning.

I need to create another tool table.

I tried to delete or renumber the tools in my current table but was unsuccessful.

I don't need to keep the current data in the table.

What do I do?

Any chance of having a setting for ramp length as a multiple of tool diameters?

Hello All

Any idea why the edit tab check box would be grayed out?

SVG Program

Hi All

What's the best design program for outputting svg files?

Something with some rudimentary cad abilities - I don't know autocad and am too old to learn.

I tried Inkscape but it's not CAD enough.

Here is an example of what you can do with the v-carve option.

Set up a tool as a 120 Vbit and used a 1 1/4 diameter ballnose.

Approx 130 vectors.

10 by 50 inches. About 31 minutes machine time.

Odd looking layout for a bunch of squares.

There is nothing that you can do if they are all separate squares. If you run these a lot, I'd make the effort to just lay out the lines. They don't even need to be on separate layers, just a crosshatch pattern of lines.

Good evening

Is it possible to ramp up to a tab rather than stopping and raising?

"Rest" Machining

Hi All

I make lots of MDF doors. I use a large bit to pocket out the centre of a door and then need to machine out the triangles in the corners that are left (the rest).

Can SC keep track of the un-machined part and finish the pocket with a smaller tool?

Any further thoughts on this by chance?

The way it stands I can't use the batch update unless I'm prepared to see the cnc pick up 5 tools it isn't going to use.

On the left side of the screen where material is shown. It would have to be when the dxf is imported.
