Re: Rigid tapping issue

Are you getting a warning that no holes were found? If so, check your min hole size and max hole size. These have to be either side of the tapping marker circle diameter.

Re: Rotary plugin torch height

I think I made a mistake by making my ref 0 for z at the top. Does that make sense? Yes, for rotary cutting, Z0 is the center line of the tube. If you have a touch-off switch and the post is configured correctly (see below) this should be automatic. Should I have the limit/home be at the top of z o...

Re: no layer lines being read on any file

Do you see the drawing outlines in the graphic display? If so you probably just need to select the appropritae layer. In your cut operation use the 'Layer' dropdown to select the layer you want to cut.

Re: Peel milling,

I see what you mean now. Using multiple outside offsets tends to create some pretty inefficient tool paths in many cases. I'll need to think on this one.

Re: Peel milling,

Even a macro function that automatically creates a whole bunch of copies of the same contour milling operation but with reduced "Finish Allowances" for each copy would be a nice start.
That's effectively what the spiral pocket does. It just does a series of offsets then joins them together.

Re: Options of Jet Drill Operation

That's odd. It's displaying the drill tool parameters instead of the jet tool parameters. I'll look into it.

Re: Post Custom Boolean Option

I'll look into it. Making it display true/false means some changes to the way custom values are handled, which may turn into a bit of a rabbit hole.

Re: No rapid between drill points

Yes, you need to call OnRapid(). On some machines drilling is a canned cycle. In that case you may not want a positioning rapid.

Re: What bugs you the most in SheetCam?

I suspect that is related to a bug that should be fixed in the next release. Thanks for the report.

Re: Problem when loading G-code into cnc machine

It looks like a mismatch in how arc centres are specified. They can be either incremental or absolute. Your post is probably configured for incremental while your control is set for absolute or vice-versa.

Yes I understand that but when you want to zero the machine you get a torch crash as it tries to plunge to zero. Or am I missing something 🤔
When exactly does it crash? The post should not try to plunge to zero.

I noticed a difference between the contour and pocket opertation dialogs.
Is there a (good) reason for this?
Yes, there is a good reason. I messed up and never noticed the difference
The contour operation is wrong. All other operations have the method first.

Re: What bugs you the most in SheetCam?

But then you get two ok-buttons where only one is clickable. That's a drawing issue when the window is resized. I've had lots of problems getting that working in wxWidgets3. And you should update the german language file in the installation package! It should be using the most recent version. I'll ...
