Hello! After some research I found this: https://dg-nest-pro.en.softonic.com/ It is called DG net pro and is exactly what I'm looking for: Nesting pre written Gcode files. This would solve my problem but it seems that this program is not longer supported. The thing is that I can not find another pro...

importing G Code and then nest

Hello! Sheetcam is great: I have an 2500 dollar CAM software upgrade en never use it: I'm still using Sheetcam because it is faster and has better functions for my needs. But.... I'm using the cad/cam plan for 3d engraving and parametric cabinet designs and that is getting bigger and bigger in my bu...

Hello Les!
Thanks for the fast replay (and sorry for my late replay).

See my question as a point of improvement then. Sheetcam is already great but this would improve the workflow for large nested sheets.

workflow when nesting

Hello! I'm a fond user of sheetcam, first with a 130x130 cm machine, then a 260x130 machine and now a 12 tool atc 400x200 machine. With the new machine we can process big slabs of wood. I've got a project to cut 260 pieces (10 different shapes) out of 1 piece of oak. I nest everything in sheetcam an...

Sheetcam unstable after windows 10 update

Hello! After an update of windows 10 Sheetcam has become unstable. It has become that bad that I can't write any g code before the program crashes. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? It it a setting somewhere or can I undo the update until the bug is fixed? There are no messages. Just "S...

Hello!

I've been playing around with manually editing the G code and it worked great.

That is quite a nice and easy to build system. Hobbytime! ;)

When it's done I'll show some pictures, could take a month or so before I have time.

Sheetcam plasma --> use torch on for nail gun action?

Hello! We've got quite a nice order of wooden crates but we need to shoot 51.000 nails to assemble them. That takes a lot of time of course so I was thinking: Lets mount a nailgun on the cnc router z axis, move to the right position, move down, and then give a signal to fire the gun. Than, if I make...

job runtime ajust

Hello! We are using Sheetcam more and more. We get requests how long a job is gonna take. The estimate in the job report is always 30% (it varies) off. Of course that is because it is not setup for our machine speeds etc. How can I adjust these settings so the report will be as accurate as possible....

Hello Les, this is probably a good start for my 4th axis milling. Could you send me a test license for rotary plugin so I can test if it works for my usage? I've already posted a new topic about it before I saw this and I think that it would work but ofcourse: lets test it! First post asking about i...

4 axis work

Hello! I would love to extend the use of my cnc router to also use a 4th axis for simple wood work like table legs with words in it or something like that. As far as I can find Sheetcam does not cover this option, am I overlooking something or is it possibly a work in progress? I love the functional...
