Does your cutter have a serial port? I'm guessing you have to set amps on the unit itself if it doesn't.
I have a Hypertherm and my controller has the ability to set amps through the serial port on the cutter.

their is a port on the back of the unit, i believe that just tells it to turn on and off and some power to the THC...?
ok so just turn dial on the front of the unit, thats easy..

thanks

Yeah, the round connector on the back is the cpc. It's for start, arc ok & the divided volts. The serial port is a long connector. It allows remote setting of the amps & air pressure and also error code readout. Your program would need that functionality to utilize it.
