Import dxf with layers

I am trying to import a cad file with layers, but when it gets imported to SC everything is just one layer. Any help on how to keep layers would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have SheetCam set to use colours instead of layers. Just after you open a drawing a box appears with a number of options. Make sure 'Use colours as layer names' is turned off.
