There is already the function when you array parts, to decide the space between parts. Could there be the same thing when manually nesting parts? Lets say i want 1/4 between parts, i drop it at 1 inch, it moves at 1/4.

thank you

There isn't any way to do that at the moment. You can use the grid but that only locks the position to increments of the grid size. Detecting when parts are too close is actually quite a mathematical challenge and I haven't yet found a way of doing it that is accurate yet fast enough to be used interactively.

I do a lot of manual nesting for my plasma cutter and often use
different size sheets.
I do all nesting in my Cad program and use the sheet size as a border. I
find it is very easy to do that way. I may not get as close as A high
dollar nesting program might, but it would take a bunch of the small
parts it would afford extra for me to make up he difference in time and
cost.
It doesn't take me long to nest a full sheet.
Maybe 15 minutes tops.
