Job report/job costing

Hi Less, I was wondering IF the job report could include the x/y extense for the part cut in plasma. This would give us a better grip on costing out the job material wise.

Also wondering IF you could include a costing formula base on material size and thickness and cutting inches and starts.

Maybe a simple plugin to control cost factors?

Thanks For all the hard work, (;-) TP

X,Y extents are a good idea. I'll add them to the to-do list.

Costing is a bit more tricky. Presumably you would want to work it out from the following:
cost per square inch (based on X,Y extents)
cost per pierce
cost per inch of cutting.

I'll have to think on this one.

Perhaps a small database for the material selction that would allow us to include material cost for each selection.

Then just use the extents for the square inches and the starts and cut inches.

I guess you would also need a cost input for the starts and cost per inch for cuts.

Thanks for the consideration, (;-) TP

Over on PlasmaSpider.com they have an excel spreadsheet that seems to work pretty good for pricing things out. You might want to pop over there and take a look at it.

Sorry,

I've been really busy just recently and haven't had time to look at this yet.

Came across this on Plasmaspider this morning. Read the post from Vmax near the end.
Would be really interested in this plug in.
