SheetCam - Countersunk operation?

Post by JackBerkhout »

Hi,
is it possible to do the following operation with Sheetcam?
Similar to Spiral pocket or Inside offset, but create a 90 degrees countersunk, without using a countersunk mill?
It uses little steps (0.1 - 0.2 mm) and while going deeper makes smaller circles...
I hope you understand what I mean.

(I could do this with other software)

Code: Select all

------ ------

       -- --

          -- --

             -- --

The only way I know would to be to draw it up in a CAD program, then use the offset command for the amount of step over, import it, and use inside contour operation. Each contour will have to be on a separate layer. You can do that in SC (each layer has a different depth) or in the CAD software (manually change depth in program text file). I prefer doing as much in the CAD as I find it faster and easier to make changes if need be. I have done this stepping out angles also.

A feature that would work well with SC in this situation would be the ability to sequentially number contours just like the start point numbering.
