I have this a time or two. What I have done was to open the SVG in Inkscape, select the object and go to Object, Ungroup (or <Shift-Ctrl-G>. After that, click the mouse anywhere on a blank area (or De-Select) and then click again on the object and drag. If there is a duplicate, I delete one. HTH Paul

If you start the drawings (if you draw them) with the idea of always putting the perimeter cut on it's own layer and possibly using SheetCAM's job templates to help setup the operations. I don't know if that would help make up the time...
